The Formula 5 runs a full championship in Ireland. It has been approved for racing in the UK Formula 4 series run by the 750 Motor Club.
A full race ready car or a build it yourself kit is avaliable.

Some of the cars features are:

- Wishbone suspension all round
- Cross drilled brake discs all round (Inboard at the rear)
- Twin piston Wilwood callipers, front & rear
- Inboard suspension, front & rear
- Pull rod operated front suspension
- Push rod operated rear suspension
- A manufactured differential with built in reverse
- Machined billet Aluminium uprights
- Slick tyres supplied by: Dunlop Ireland

A Suzuki RF900 engine is used in to power the car. This develops 120 BHP and will rev to about 12,000rpm. It also features a six speed sequential gearbox. Engines are sealed for Championship running.
